How the calculator works

1. Income floor

Annual target ÷ (billable hours × working weeks × (1 − overhead)). It shows the minimum sustainable hourly revenue for your inputs.

2. Starting quote

The tool adds 15% for ordinary scope and estimation risk. It is a starting point, not a promise that a client will accept it.

3. Market context

Public ranges help frame a conversation. Your specialization, risk, client geography, speed, and contract terms can matter more.
